ASTERISK CULT is a platform where we use fashion and clothing as a medium of teaching and creative expression. With each capsule being themed and focused on different experiences that we face during this human experience ranging from love, hate, higher powers to mythical beings, heartbreak, recovery and more. Our goal is to artistically shift the previously perceived uses and applications of fashion as a medium of art and expression.

THE ORIGIN:

Created in Detroit in 2020, AsteriskCult has taken many different forms. My starting point was on the floor of my first apartment in 2019, I began designing many different fashion pieces out of interest for the craft and quickly realized I had a love for it. During this time I was struggling to pay bills, find food, and even live on my own. It was sink or swim for me to figure it out. After a separation between lovers, I moved back to my moms house to find my way and with all the emotions I felt, I spent an entire year learning what it takes to own and grow a business. It was all i could think about. This was the beginning of the journey and after multiple failures, lessons, jobs, small wins and rebrands, I landed on AsteriskCult. 

“There was no place where I felt truly welcome to be myself. From being ostracized for being “different” to isolation from my peers for personal beliefs. I decided to create a platform where I help and motivate people to find themselves and have a family to be a part of.”
